Arvind Karthik is a fashion photographer and the host of Figuring Fashion — a podcast spotlighting the creative minds shaping India’s fashion industry. Based in Chennai, India, Arvind is known for his signature still-life and fashion work that combines technical precision with artistic curiosity.

After graduating as an engineer, Arvind made an unconventional shift into the world of visual arts. His journey began with formal training in advertising and commercial photography, but he quickly carved out his own path by exploring the intersection of neuroscience, light, and emotional perception in imagery — a philosophy that continues to shape his visual style today.

He has worked with leading fashion designers, models, makeup artists, and stylists across the country, with shoots spanning cities from Chennai to Delhi. His approach is intentional, often described as “old-school with a purpose.” He prefers tethered shooting, tripod-mounted compositions, and crafting each frame like a painting — slow, precise, and built to last.

Through his podcast Figuring Fashion, Arvind dives deep into the untold stories of designers, photographers, stylists, and other behind-the-scenes artists, creating a much-needed platform for authentic conversations within India's creative ecosystem.
